Math Competition Prep

Competition math isn't
school math. Most students
don't know the difference.

AMC preparation for students building toward competitive mathematics. Problem recognition, strategic thinking, and execution under pressure — taught by a coach who has competed and excelled at every level.

Why high achievers
hit a wall.

Classroom mathematics rewards procedure. Math competitions reward pattern recognition, creative problem-solving, and the ability to think strategically under time pressure. Students who excel in school math often hit a wall when they encounter AMC problems — not because they lack ability, but because the skill set is genuinely different.

The gap between "good at math" and "competitive in math" is a learnable distance. It just requires the right guide.

Clarity first.
Speed follows.

Wilson's coaching is built around problem recognition before calculation — training students to identify the problem type, select the right strategy, and execute efficiently. Speed is never forced. It follows naturally from clarity.

Sessions are structured around AMC 8, AMC 10, and the pathway to AIME for students with the right foundation and ambition.

AMC 8
Grades 7–8. Foundation-building in number theory, geometry, combinatorics, and problem-solving strategy.
AMC 10
Grades 9–10. Advanced problem-solving with emphasis on pattern recognition and strategic time allocation.
AIME Pathway
For students qualifying or aiming for AIME. Intensive preparation with a coach who has qualified six times.
